Dr. Rachel Lys utilizes an evidence based treatment protocol. This allows her to access, integrate and apply clinical evidence to guide her decision making resulting in the best possible individual therapy plan for each patient. She integrates relevant current research, clinical expertise, patient values and mandated healthcare policy guidelines to focus her treatment programs. During her years of service in the Montauk community she has demonstrated her expertise in diagnosis, intervention and prevention of impairments, functional limitations and disabilities related to movement function and health. She will work with your entire healthcare team to achieve optimal health and wellness for each individual, demonstrating the highest ethical standards, values, and the caring concern you should expect from your Therapist. She is always reliable, respectful, communicative and accountable.
Dr. Lys’s education began in 1998 at the University of Illinois, where she earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology. Her education continued at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, where she graduated with her Masters in 2005 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007. Since then, it has been her mission to assist in patient recovery while being a wife and working mother to four girls. Dr. Rachel has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2002. East Hampton Physical Therapy is open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and accepts most major medical insurances.
